network problem

it appears to be a problem with our network. It works if you take one of these Win 7 64 machines home and run the script from there. This is not news to me because lots of things don't work from our office. Windows update does not work from the office for the Win 7 machines, Picasa synch to web doesn't work for most machines, but it does for some. It's not our laptops because you take the laptops home and everything works just fine.

I have cut and pasted the URL into a browser from the machine in question, and that works. I'll look into WinHttp. I used msxml because I found an example of it somewhere.
